South Africa vs England, 1st Test: WATCH, Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad Have a Heated Conversation during the Match

England players Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes were involved in a short but a seemingly heated discussion on Saturday during the first test of the ongoing South Africa vs England series.

England players had gathered in a huddle after taking a sixth South African wicket when the duo exchanged a few words.

“Well that doesn’t look like a very friendly conversation, does it?” commentator Michael Holding was heard saying on air. “Not too sure what started it, but hopefully it will end soon.”

“When Pretorius was on his way out to bat, there was a little bit of a conversation between the captain (Root), vice-captain (Stokes) and Stuart Broad. Not too sure what it was all about, what started it, but obviously the vice-captain was not a very happy man.”

England could pull off another impressive win-

Starting the first test of the tour at Supersport Part, Centurion, England had won the toss and chose to bowl first. They had South Africa at 111 for 5. But a counter-attacking innings from Quinton de Kock along with some contributions from lower-order took the South Africans to 284. In reply, England fell to 181 runs with Joe Denly getting a half-century.

In the second innings, Jofra Archer claimed five wickets, but not before the South Africans scored 272 runs, once again with useful contributions from the lower order.

This meant that England had to chase a target of 377 runs. A target that looked out of reach in the context of the match. However, England’s openers stood up to the task and had an opening partnership of 92 runs. At the end of day three, England had lost only one wicket and cut down the deficit by 121 runs.

With Rory Burns nearing a century and nine wickets in hand, England have a good chance to pull off another remarkable victory.
