Daniel Vallverdu is the former coach of Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych, and Grigor Dimitrov. Last month, Grigor Dimitrov had announced split with his longtime coach Daniel Vallverdu after his shock defeat in the opening round of the Mutua Madrid Open against Taylor Fritz.

The Bulgarian said in a statement ahead on the Italian Open 2019. He said, “After my match, yesterday, Dani Vallverdu, my long-time coach and I sat down together. After three great years, we will be going our separate years. We had some career highlights and amazing moments in the court. I want to thank Dani for everything he has done for me and I wish him nothing but the best in his next endeavors.”

Earlier, Stan Wawrinka had also announced that he will skip the first grass court event of the season, the Stuttgart Open due to fatigue after the French Open 2019. He announced, “It is with big regret that I need to announce that I won’t be able to play in Stuttgart this year. I’m still recovering from Roland Garros and sadly not ready yet to compete at the highest level due to fatigue after my long matches in Paris.”

“I was very much looking forward to coming back to Stuttgart as I have great memories from 2007 when I played my second ATP final at Weissenhof losing to Rafael Nadal. The club is amazing and so are the fans in Stuttgart. I hope to be back next year and look forward to seeing you all soon, ” Stan Wawrinka added.
