“Roger Federer is Selfish”

“How about the Tour returns when its appropriately safe to do so and those players struggling can earn some income. Standard selfishness from Roger Federer.”

While many tennis fans will be very angry with Harris, we have to understand things from his point of view. Lower-ranked players depend solely on tournaments to earn their income. If those tournaments are canceled, they lose a lot of money which is why it should be conducted with or without the fans.

However, there is another side to this that involves tennis fans. Think about every single match you have watched, even on the television, you will remember the fans cheering for their favorite player. Because that is what makes a tennis match entertaining for the players and the fans.

This is not something we want to take away from tennis but it is not up to us to decide. This decision will be taken by the governing bodies of tennis who will allow fans to watch the matches in the arena based on the situation with the coronavirus.

Hopefully, the situation with the virus will improve and we can see a normal tennis match with fans cheering for their favorite player live in the arena.
