Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson is a podcast by Mike Tyson where he invites other athletes and celebrities. The latest episode witnessed Jermall Charlo as the guest. Here, let's take a look at the best bits of the podcast.
When asked by Jermall Charlo about Tyson's fight against Jake Paul, Tyson responded by saying that he would need atleast a billion bucks for a fight of such extent as the bout would be crazy and special enough for the fans.
55-year-old Tyson now feels disgusted with his younger self. He said “When I look at myself when I am younger, I said, ‘who the f*** is that? What was that all about? What was that error in my life all about? It’s about chaos. Addicted to chaos.”
Tyson told Charlo that he fought Henry Tillman once when he just faced a defeat against Buster Douglas, which was a massive heavyweight upset for him. Tyson needed to get back to the title ride, and Henry Tillman came as a perfect fight for the successful journey ahead.
Several boxing pundits pointed out that Mayweather was selective about his opponents which Tyson denied by saying “He didn’t pick guys. He took the best. Even the guys I picked against him, he beat everybody, made everybody wrong.”
Tyson reflected on how the factor of fear works in the sport of boxing which Jermall Charlo couldn’t deny. Tyson said that Charlo is not afraid of mistakes but of humiliation which Charlo had to accept.
