Weight Training

Like any other boxer, Haney's training routine comprises weight training. Weight training is vital to put on the requisite muscle mass, thus maintaining a stable weight.

Cardio

The champ engages in heavy cardio to shed unnecessary fat. In an old interview with The Breakfast Club, Haney revealed that he runs 5-6 miles in the morning.

Sparring Sessions

Haney takes on the most important aspect of his training, i.e. heavy sparring sessions. He has these with fighters of different weight classes.

Training Schedule

In an old interview with The Breakfast Club, Haney revealed that he runs 5-6 miles in the morning and his afternoon workout is about 3 hours long, and the night workout is about an hour and a half.

Boxing Trainer

Haney used to be trained by his father, Bill Haney. Sometimes he used to go to Mayweather's boxing gym and get trained by Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Floyd Mayweather Jr. At present, Ben Davison is Haney's boxing trainer for his next fight against Jorge Linares.
