Jake Paul is set to fight Tommy Fury on 26 February 2023 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. It will also feature WBC Cruiserweight kingpin, Ilunga Makabu, battling former WBC and WBA champion, Badou Jack, in the co-main event.
The WBC has released a press release appreciating Paul's dedication to the sport and promising zero discrimination.
The WBC press release said. “He demonstrated punching power and improved skills as well as a solid chin, Tommy Fury represents a clear challenge to Paul in a battle of two undefeated professional boxers. Jake has enrolled in VADA testing Clean Boxing Program, yet another strong reason to support his stance as a boxer.”
Jake Paul will receive an official WBC ranking in cruiserweight division if he beats 'TMT' and there are speculations that he may eventually go on to face a WBC cruiserweight champion in the near future.
