From bloodlust and craving chaos to deadly wins, the boxing world enjoys the rush that the fights get them. But when the enjoyment turns into tragic fatalities it leaves everyone questioning and numb. From life to death, here are a few of the saddest incidents that happened in the boxing world.

Roman Simakov’s Demise 

Roman Simakov vs Sergey Kovalev’s bout took place on December 5, 2011. The light-heavyweight contender collapsed after his loss to Kovalev and later died from brain injuries.

Prichard Colon's Tragic Defeat 

In the year 2015, Tyrell Williams defeated the unbeaten 16-0 Colon in the ninth round with Colon holding his head and finding it difficult to move. Colon was blown with several rabbit punches that caused brain bleeding and left him in a coma for 221 days. He is now awake and in a vegetative state.

Mike Towell's Fatal Life

The bout Mike Towell vs Dale Evans which took place on September 29, 2016, took a tragic turn. Evans stopped Towell in the 5th round and later Towell was taken to the hospital. It was diagnosed that he suffered a serious brain bleed which led to his demise.

Scott Westgarth's Tragic

The fight Scott Westgarth vs. Dec Spelman which was held in the year 2018 was nothing less than a curse. Westgarth after overcoming Spelman was immediately taken to the hospital and later died after two days.
