Mike Tyson Feared He Had Killed a Gang Leader in Street Fight

Mike Tyson is the most feared name in the world of Boxing and so are his powerful boxing moves. What was Tyson worried about when he had a street brawl with Mitch Green? Let's find out.

'The Baddest Man on the Planet' and Mitch Green once got into one of the infamous street fights in 1988. It was then that Tyson feared that his actions had killed Mitch ‘Blood’ Green.

The rivalry between Tyson and Green didn't end and went ahead to take an ugly turn. Two years later, Tyson and Green had an intense street brawl when 'Iron Mike' was in Harlem to visit a clothing shop called Dapper Dan’s.

A Street Brawl

Tyson used his power punches to destroy Mitch Green and threw a Bruce Lee ‘Enter the Dragon’ roundhouse kick which brought Green to the floor and Tyson got afraid that he had actually killed Green.

What Did Tyson Fear?

While expressing his fear, Tyson said, "I got scared because he didn't move anymore when his head hit the concrete and that's when I just ran and got in the car and thought, 'Let's get the f**k out of here.' He added, "I thought I killed him [and] I was so scared. I was so happy the next day in the 'papers they showed his eye [injury] because I knew he wasn't dead then."
