Shawn Porter is preparing for his clash against Terence Crawford for the WBO welterweight title this Saturday. Ahead of his fight, let's take a look at Porter's intense training routine.

Training schedule

Porter does intense training every day in a week. However, his rest days involve bike riding, yoga, and massage.

Cardio

To improve his endurance, 'Showtime' does hours of indoor and outdoor cardio. His cardio sessions include long-distance running, swimming, and hill running.

Footwork and Balance 

'Showtime' was a football player during his high school years. He still implements some techniques in boxing. He does various cone drills to improve his balance, foot speed, and foot positioning. 

Boxing

The Ohio native will do a lot of mitt work and heavy bag workouts to hone his boxing skills. He wears an elevation training mask while hitting pads that controls oxygen levels to simulate high altitude. It also helps improve his aerobic endurance.

Sparring

Porter's training regimen further includes ample sparring to sharpen his skills mentally and physically to prepare him for the battle.
