Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc at the start of their F1 careers were tipped as the future of F1, and often
they have justified their tags.
However, the two drivers didn’t have a cordial relationship when they were starting with their motorsport
career.

During the second round of the 2012 WSK Euro go-karting series, Max Verstappen complains of how Leclerc pushed him off the track while taking the lead of the race. On the contrary, a calm-headed Leclerc claimed it was nothing more than a racing incident.
After making their debut in the pinnacle of motor-racing, the two drivers have been involved in several
controversial moments.
Max had a poor start, but he wasted no time in making up lost ground. The Dutch overtake Leclerc with just 2 laps to win the race. But the win was confirmed 3 hours after the race following an investigation into whether Max unfairly ran Leclerc off the track.
Max Verstappen had an immense 21-lap battle with the Italian outfit’s newly recruited Monégasque, Charles Leclerc. The fans at Silverstone witnessed one of the best wheel-to-wheel battles of the 21st century.
Both the drivers had to retire on the opening lap. After Leclerc hit Perez's car, with Max running into the barrier as he tried to avoid the melee. Meanwhile, after the race, Max described the incident as “totally unnecessary” and “stupid” by Leclerc.
