Lewis Hamilton secured the fastest lap on the final day of testing with a 1:19.138, on Pirelli's C5 which is the softest compound.
Alonso was told to stop the car in the final sector due to loss of pressure, which is when the car caught fire.
According to Alpine, the fire was caused by a hydraulics issue, and a minor sealing issue at the back of the car led to the fire.
Mercedes had a 1-2 with George Russell being the 2nd fastest, followed by Max Verstappen as 3rd fastest.
