Nelly Korda: World #2 Struggles to Make the Cut

Surprisingly, World #2 Nelly Korda did not make the KPMG Women's PGA Championship 2023 cut. Her lack of preparation was obvious after a month of inaction. This is her second letdown since the 2021 US Women's Open; she is presently tied for 15th, four strokes behind the leader

Atthaya Thitikul: Thai Star Misses the Cut

Atthaya Thitikul, a highly anticipated player in the tournament, fell short at Baltusrol. With scores of 75 and 77 in the first and second rounds, respectively, she missed the cutline. It was her first missed cut on the LPGA since the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open in July 2022.

Georgia Hall: English Player's Struggles Continue

Georgia Hall, who is ranked eighth in the world, had a slow start at Baltusrol. Despite being one of the top players early in the season, her poor play in March emphasized her need for improvement. Hall missed the cut despite shooting an 8-over 79 on day one and a 1-over 72 on day two.

Other Under-Performing LPGA Stars at the Major

Not only were Nelly Korda, Atthaya Thitikul, and Georgia Hall let down in Baltusrol.
Lydia Ko, the Rolex Player of the Year in 2022, battles to regain momentum after round 2, while Rose Zhang, making her professional debut, falls short in the first two rounds with a career-worst score of 3-over 74, requiring a stunning effort to climb the standings.
