Greg Norman reveals the biggest highlight for LIV Golf.

The PGA-LIV rivalry kept golf fans entertained throughout the 2023 Masters.

Koepka, Mickelson, and Reed excelled at Augusta, silencing LIV critics. Yet, Norman was most thrilled about the addition of Australian Cam Smith.

Cameron Smith, 29, amazed the world in 2022 by winning the British Open.

The golfer’s first major came amidst many other career highs, including the Players Championship.

However, Smith shocked the golfing world when he defected from the PGA Tour to join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf in late-2022.

Greg Norman was pleasantly taken aback by Smith’s decision to join LIV.

Norman communicated with the Queensland native before he made his final decision.

“We had a couple of conversations. And then when the time came, he was ready. He found the way he found the way down that path of the journey he wanted to do,” shared Norman.

Norman's remarks indicate that Mickelson's or Johnson's joining didn't please him as much.

As the highest-ranked LIV player at No. 5 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Smith's decision brought significant happiness to the LIV CEO.

Per reports, the Australian golfer signed for a whopping sum of $140 million. “When he came on board. It was like “oh my gosh”, the best thing that happened to us to be honest with you,” said Norman.
