Recently, a list of the 100 most influential figures in the sport of golf was released by Today’s Golfer. Had Paige Spiranac not been on the list, it would have been a crime. With 3.7 million Instagram followers and 11 million across all her social media, she commands the biggest online fanbase among all the golfers.
Paige certainly didn’t rank too low on the list. She secured the 34th spot. She beat the likes of many famous golf players, like Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau, Nelly Korda, and even Hall of Fame LPGA veteran, Annika Sorenstam.
Spiranac’s fans weren’t happy about her ranking at all; they believed that she should be much higher on the list. But Paige was content. She responded to a fan who stated that she should be in the top 10.
Although Paige was happy, she wanted to improve. She added, “But I appreciate the support and we will keep pushing for more!” Spiranac has of late used her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee,’ to voice both her feelings and her views of things going on in the sports world. She is quick to defend those who are being mistreated and to call out those who are being unjust.
Spiranac uses her own experiences with bullying and abuse to interact and relate to her fans and aid them in facing the same scenarios. She reaches out to them on her podcast and her other social media accounts and makes herself extremely approachable. The fans certainly love her for it.
