‘I Would Have Taken a Bullet for This Guy’: Greg Norman’s Strong Betrayal With Chris Evert Forced His Best Friend to Denounce Their Relationship Once

Greg Norman, one of the best golfers, held the top spot for 331 weeks in the 1980s. In his golfing career, he won 89 professional tournaments. He currently serves as the CEO of the Saudi-funded LIV Golf league, frequently making news due to its rivalry with the PGA Tour. Even though his professional life has been great, his personal life could have been more exciting. Did you know that his former best friend once accused him of betrayal?

Greg Norman and Andy Mill were best friends.

Andy Mill was Norman’s best friend until he married Mill’s ex-wife, Chris Evert. The tennis star married Norman in 2008; however, they had a brief marriage. Evert-Norman was known as a power couple, and it pleased fans to see them together. They were looking forward to how the couple would support each other in the long run. However, they announced their split 15 months after their wedding.

What went wrong between Andy Mill and Greg Norman?

The former alpine skier, Andy Mill, and Greg Norman were great friends. Chris Evert was married to Mill for 18 years before their split in December 2006. And according to the skier, it was Norman who ruined his marriage. He was the one who stole his wife from his best friend and destroyed the holy matrimony of 18 years.

In 2007, Mill was devastated after his split with his ex-wife, and he publicly accused his long-time best friend.

They were very close friends because, according to Mill, he would have died for their friendship. “Greg Norman at one time was my best friend and a year and a half ago I would have taken a bullet for this guy,” said Mill. But he never imagined that his best friend would stab him in the back like that, and steal his wife.

According to the former skier, Mill was ready to take the bullet, but it was Norman who pulled the trigger.

Evert filed for divorce from her ex-husband Mill in November 2006, and the reason given was “irreconcilable differences.” She got married to Norman in 2008, but they separated in September 2009. The reason for the separation was that their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” according to Australian Associated Press (AAP) reports.
