A reporter asked Woods about his friendly relationship with Trump despite people being threatened by him and his policy. And in response to the question, Woods said, “No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.”
Nicklaus has been very supportive of Tiger Woods throughout his career. Moreover, Woods also considered Nicklaus an inspiration on the field. After Woods’ press conference on Sunday, Jack Nicklaus was on a show called ‘Morning Drive’ where he completely supported Woods’ diplomatic statements. The golf legend said, “I couldn’t have agreed with Tiger more. Whether it’s Barack Obama or Donald Trump in the office of the president, you respect the office,”.
Jack also added that different people could have different political views. However, it should not make a difference in the respect one has towards the office. “I think Tiger was very appropriate with what he said, and I couldn’t agree with him more.”
