Tom Watson provides massive health update ahead of Masters.
With only a few days to go before the upcoming Masters Tournament in April, golf fans have no lack of reasons to be excited.
The Masters tournament is going to be even more enthralling with the presence of LIV Golf players on the same field as PGA Tour players.
However Masters would not be as interesting as it would be with the presence of golf legend, Tom Watson!
Watson holds a separate fan base among professional golfers and golf enthusiasts.
In fact, everyone was pretty pumped up to see Watson on the first tee at the Masters. But ever since the golfer suffered his infamous go-kart accident on his farm in Kansas, the chances of having him at Augusta National were pretty slim.
Luckily, according to sources, the golf star is now fit to appear at the tournament on the first day.
Despite undergoing a serious shoulder replacement surgery in November, Watson has confirmed his presence at the tournament.
It took the former champion a few weeks of rehab to start hitting golf balls again.
He even hit a few shots on Wednesday to regain his confidence at the tournament.
In his interview with Golfweek, Watson said, “I’m feeling fine and I will be able to hit the tee shot, not very well, but I’ll be able to hit it.”
Watson had more to add.
Describing his current swinging abilities,
He added, “They’re going straight but they’re not going far…Of course, when you hit it short you don’t hit it very crooked.” Well, his mere presence is no less than a treat for the fans.
