Paige shared on her podcast the details of the incident. She said she offered the organization free golf clubs for children. But she was rejected, and the reason she was given was shocking. She narrated that they wrote back, “We would love to but, because of the way our board members view you, you can’t help out.”
Paige could not comprehend how someone could deprive children of something because of their opinions. She stated, “I want to give back to these kids who don’t have anything, because I grew up not having anything, and I can’t even f**king do that because of my cl****ge.”
The social media icon was frustrated. She wasn’t sure why the love they shared for the sport wasn’t enough for them to bond over. The fact that she dressed differently from the other golfers by not wearing a polo shouldn’t affect her work. She didn’t see why it should matter what she wore and said, “If a guy on tour wears shorts instead of pants, the world’s not going to end.”
The blonde beauty said that the sport has often made her feel like an “outcast.” She explained that the sport was filled with “hypocrisy” and was not a good fit for her at all. She said, “Golf is the absolute worst place for me to be because I am the exact opposite of everything that a golfer should encompass, should be, and I’m not.”
Spiranac had spent a very short time as a pro golfer. Despite her skills, Paige didn’t feel comfortable or at peace there. She explained the insincerity of the game and called the sport a “big boys club” that covers up things others do, but she was hated on, branded “s**t” and “wh**e,” and accused of “ruining the game” just for wearing a tank top.
