Amid Reports of Interest From $1 Trillion Giant, Under Threat Rival Responds With Massive Chicago Boost
NASCAR
In July, a Cup Series race will take place in Chicago in a street racing format. Many fans have already shown massive interest in this event.
It seems like some sponsors have also shown interest in the Chicago Race. Recently, NASCAR announced a new addition to its list of founders.
A new founder for the Chicago Race
Earlier, NASCAR announced that Xfinity will join the list of all the founding members. Xfinity, the rival company of the tech giant, uses its strategic planning to roll and secured a coveted spot in the race. Moreover, they will have a dedicated section of the circuit, including Turn 10 being called Xfinity 10G Turn. This comes after Amazon showed interest to bid for the television and broadcasting rights.
President of Chicago Race talks about Xfinity’s inclusion
Julie Giese, the President of Chicago Street Race, recently said, "Xfinity has always been there to help us move NASCAR forward. The founding partner model is really unique to the Chicago Street Race, and we can’t think of a better organization to add to this incredible list of partners for our first-ever street race.”
Meanwhile, many fans took a dig at Xfinity, as one fan said, “Apparently, an invisible partner.” One more user wrote, “Expect lots of slowdowns and horsepower caps in that turn.” Another person said, “10g turn? These people have no shame.”
