A Year of Setbacks

Chase Elliott's 2023 journey was a rollercoaster ride. A snowboarding mishap led to a broken leg, sidelining him from the tracks. His return was short-lived due to a suspension, costing him a playoff spot. But the worst was yet to come.

The Shoulder Struggle

Adding to his woes, Elliott suffered a shoulder injury. But he's not one to back down. He's on a path to recovery and is expected to be in top form for the Clash at the Coliseum on February 4th. He recently shared, "I’m still working through it...The shoulders are kind of tricky; I didn’t realize how many awkward ways you use your shoulder."

The Road to Recovery

Elliott's shoulder injury wasn't a result of the snowboarding accident, but an old issue that had been nagging him. He's not alone in his recovery journey, as fellow racer Denny Hamlin is also recuperating from surgery. Despite Hamlin's injury being more severe, both racers are making steady progress and are expected to compete at the Clash.
