On his popular podcast, Dale Jr. Download, Earnhardt Jr. addressed the controversial move. He urged his driver to lose the cocky attitude and take things slowly. He advised, "It’s just been a couple of weeks since he went from the guy that hadn’t won a race to the guy that won 2 races. I just think, pump the brakes a little bit...".
