On the other hand, there was a serious altercation between Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott, as they both had DNFs. After Elliott called it ‘Unfortunate Circumstances’, Hamlin blasted him on social media.

On Lap 186, Hamlin seemingly pushed Elliott into the wall. Then it looked like Elliott retaliated with a big push, which cost both of their race. Hamlin’s front end was severely damaged.
Elliott’s comments regarding the incident
In the mid-race interview, Elliott was asked about the incident. In reply, he said, “No, like I said, once you hit the wall in these things, you can’t drive them anymore. So no, just unfortunate circumstances.”
Hamlin blasted Elliott on TwitterLater, Hamlin took to Twitter and exposed Elliott with proper evidence. He said, “Absolute left hook. Cranked the wheel 4X harder left than he did making any corner through the whole day. Bullsh*t move.”
