Denny Hamlin Lashes Out at Michael Jordan's Driver for Ruining His Darlington Performance

NASCAR

Denny Hamlin, co-owner of the 23XI Racing team, expressed dissatisfaction with the team's performance at the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series at Darlington.

The Race

Despite a commendable performance by the 23XI Racing team, with one car finishing second and another staging a fantastic recovery to finish seventh, Hamlin was not entirely pleased. He had been leading the race, winning the first two stages convincingly. However, a pit stop error cost him valuable track position and potentially the race.

The Aftermath

Despite his disappointment, Hamlin expressed pride in his team. The 23XI Racing team is relatively young and has a long way to go before they can consistently challenge for the championship. One of their full-time drivers, Bubba Wallace, had not secured his place in the playoffs until the last race of the regular season.

Looking Forward

Thankfully, Wallace managed to secure his place in the last 16. Despite an early spin in the race, he fought back to a commendable seventh place. The other driver, Tyler Reddick, drives car #45. The team looks forward to more successes and improvements in future races.
