Fans Slam NASCAR for Double Standards With ‘Commercials’ Demand, Following Latest HMS Announcement

NASCAR

Chase Elliott’s teammate and Hendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman has missed the last few races due to an injury. Now, he will finally make his return after receiving a medical clearance.

Although many fans loved the news, some fans are asking for a commercial, as they call out NASCAR, for their double standards.

Alex Bowman’s injury

In April, the HMS driver suffered a big crash during a sprint car race in West Burlington, Iowa. As a result of the crash, he fractured his vertebra, which costs him big time. Notably, he was leading in points in drivers’ standings. Now, he has fallen to the 17th place.

Bowman’s return

Meanwhile, NASCAR recently took to Twitter to announce the good news to a lot of fans, as Bowman will return to the upcoming Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In light of his return, NASCAR has given him a waiver, permitting him to compete in the playoffs, provided he meets the qualifications. In 13 races, he just needs 5 points to secure the last qualifying position.

Meanwhile, fans are not happy that NASCAR did not put a commercial for Bowman’s return, as one fan asked, “How’s that return commercial coming along, NASCAR?” One more fan pointed out, “Air the commercials. Cue the welcome-back party. You did it for Elliott…” Another user said, “Where’s the ads all week???”
