Hailie Deegan's NASCAR Journey: A Season of Struggles and Future Prospects

NASCAR

Hailie Deegan, once a rising star in the NASCAR Truck Series, has been facing a challenging 2023 season. With only two top-10 finishes and a winless streak, the 22-year-old driver is at a critical point in her career.

A Change in Strategy

In an attempt to turn things around, ThorSport Racing announced a significant crew chief change. Brian Ross replaced Rich Lushes, marking a strategic shift for Deegan's 2023 campaign. "I got a new crew chief that I’m working with, and we’re still trying to figure out each other," Deegan said.

Looking Ahead to 2024

Despite the ongoing challenges, Deegan is optimistic about the future. When asked about her plans for 2024, she revealed, "Not yet. Still working on some stuff. Still trying to figure out what the best option is. Hopefully, we’ll see soon."
