Tony Stewart’s NASCAR team had a pretty decent race at the World Wide Technology Raceway, Aric Almirola, Kevin Harvick and others scored some crucial points.
Meanwhile, Almirola will be racing in the Xfinity Series this weekend at Sonoma Raceway for RSS Racing. In the entry list, his car number confused a lot of fans, as NASCAR insider cleared the air.
Tony Stewart’s team’s performance at the Gateway
Kevin Harvick has achieved the best result for Stewart-Haas Racing, as he finished 10th at the World Wide Technology Raceway. Other than him, Ryan Preece and Almirola finished in 17th and 19th place, respectively.
The Entry list at Sonoma Xfinity race confuses fans
Earlier, renowned NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass took to Twitter and posted the entry list for the Xfinity Series race at Sonoma Raceway. At the end of the list, Almirola’s vehicle no. was listed as 128. Usually, fans are accustomed to seeing double-digit vehicle numbers. Hence, one fan asked Pockrass, “Almirola #128?”
Replying to the fan’s comments, Pockrass said, “When a number is assigned to two different owners (or there is a points swap that requires a new ‘owner’), the three-digit number on the entry list is just a way NASCAR uses to designate which owner for owner points. So Almirola will have 28 on the car (not 128).”
