Kyle Larson’s Rare Habit Is Used to Insinuate & Explain Why Kyle Busch Is Past His Prime in Hot Take

NASCAR

Kyle Larson is currently having a terrific time on the track, as he won the recent All-Star race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. On the other hand, the legendary driver, Kyle Busch, is having a terrible time.

Artie Kempner, NASCAR on FOX Coordinating Director, recently made an interesting comparison between Larson and Busch.

Larson and Busch’s All-Star weekend

Apart from winning the All-Star race, Larson also won the Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Moreover, Larson became the first driver to win three All-Star races on three different tracks. On the other hand, Busch had a terrible heat race, as he managed to get the starting position of 14.

Is Busch’s ability declining?

In the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Kempner revealed the main reason behind Busch’s decline. He said, “I look back at Kyle Busch when he was dominating, what was he doing? He was running 3-4 races a weekend and now he’s running 1, maybe 2 and he’s not the Kyle Busch we used to see, like is that helping us see this guy be so great?”

Larson is following Busch’s path

Right now, Larson is doing what Busch used to do, which is the reason the HMS driver is thriving. Kempner said, “I feel like Kyle (Larson) races so much that when he gets in any race car, he doesn’t feel any pressure at all. Like he’s in his seat right now more than any other driver in the field.”
