NASCAR

The NASCAR 2024 Cup Series season schedule has sparked intense debate, with drivers Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin voicing their concerns over the addition of two wild-card races in the playoffs.

Chase Elliott, known for his cautious approach to controversial issues, has openly supported Hamlin's critique of the new playoff schedule. Denny had previously expressed that the changes seemed to test drivers' luck more than their skills, which Elliott agreed, stating, "I can get behind what Denny said about that because it does put you in a tough spot."

Concerns Over Drafting-Style Tracks

Including two drafting-style tracks, Atlanta and Talladega, in the playoffs has been a particular point of contention. Elliott echoed Hamlin's sentiments, saying, "There’s so much out of your control when you go to those speedway races."
