IN THE 2022 NASCAR CUP SERIES SEASON, FOUR RACES ARE DONE AND DUSTED, INCLUDING THE CLASH AT THE COLISEUM. ON THOSE OCCASIONS, JOEY LOGANO, AUSTIN CINDRIC, KYLE LARSON, AND ALEX BOWMAN WON. HOWEVER, THEY WERE HARDLY DOMINANT, AS THEY DID NOT LEAD THE MOST LAPS, ESPECIALLY ALEX BOWMAN. IN LIGHT OF THIS, NASCAR HAS CREATED A UNIQUE RECORD.
In all the 3 races, the race winners were hardly dominant. As we note, none of the winners led most of the laps!
Brad Keselowski led 67 laps in the Daytona 500. Tyler Reddick led 90 laps in the Auto Club while Ross Chastain led 83 laps in Vegas.
The last time this happened was 2006, when again, the winners did not lead that meany laps.
