Michael Jordan’s NASCAR Team Announces Major NASCAR Step up With Addition of Former F1 Star & Le Man’s Winner

Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team, 23XI Racing is making major waves in the Cup Series with Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick. 

However, they recently made a big announcement regarding the arrival of a new driver, who previously raced in F1 and won at the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Star driver to make his debut for 23XI Racing

Earlier, the official Twitter handle of 23XI Racing posted a video, announcing the arrival of Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi. The 36-year-old driver will make his debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and will drive the #67 Travis Pastrana Camry.

Arguably one of the best racecar drivers on the planet, Kobayashi previously had experience in F1, when he drove for Sauber and Toyota. Meanwhile, he won the 24 hours of Le Mans with Toyota Gazoo Racing. Now, he will make his debut in NASCAR with 23XI Racing.

Kobayashi opens up about racing in NASCAR

Talking to The Associated Press, he said, “It’s my dream, actually, “It’s such a big sport in the United States, and racing in Europe, I never had the chance or opportunity to race NASCAR. I think the opportunity will be challenging for myself because it is such a different category.”
