Spire Motorsports' Big Moves Spark Debate

NASCAR

Spire Motorsports' recent acquisitions have stirred up the NASCAR community, leading to questions about the legitimacy of the new owners.

The Big Purchases

Spire Motorsports has been on a buying spree, acquiring a $40 million charter from BJ McLeod and even Kyle Busch’s Truck Series team. They've also leased Zane Smith to Trackhouse Racing for a multi-year deal. These moves have raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about the source of their funding.

Addressing the Skepticism

Co-owner Jeff Dickerson addressed the skepticism head-on, stating, "I think what you are asking is are you guys for real? Or something must be going on behind the scenes there." He further added, "I don’t know how many more of these deals we have to do before people know we are for real."
