Tony Stewart’s NASCAR Driver Bashes Richard Childress’ Grandson’s Demand After Unfortunate Incident at Gateway

NASCAR

Last Sunday at the Gateway, Richard Childress witnessed the victory of Kyle Busch. On the other hand, he also saw his grandson Austin Dillon crash out of the race.

After the race, Dillon vented his frustration, as he asked for Austin Cindric’s suspension, who caused the crash. Recently, Tony Stewart’s driver bashed Dillon for his comments.

Team Penske driver, Austin Cindric, tried to go past Dillon; however, he misjudged and bumped Dillon from behind, who then unfortunately hit Ricky Stenhouse Jr. As a result, both of their races ended early. After the race, Dillon demanded Cindric’s suspension. However, NASCAR did not hand Cindric any suspension.

Aric Almirola defends Cindric

Appearing on the FOX channel, Tony Stewart’s driver said, “I truly believe that Austin Cindric intended to fill that gap and when these two cars make contact, as soon as his left front makes contact with Austin Dillon’s right rear quarter panel, it immediately starts to turn Austin Dillon’s car and it turns it into the direction of Austin Cindric so it makes it a small bit of contact worse because it turns them back across his nose..."

Almirola sympathizes with Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

“Austin Dillon’s already hooked and going right and the poor innocent bystander of Ricky Stenhouse who was having a great day. I think that’s the missed part of this conversation, but I certainly don’t want drivers continuing to get out of the car and say that this guy should be suspended every time we have somebody get in an incident.”
