Surely, there are not many joys in the world greater than the joy of seeing your favorite NASCAR driver win a championship and celebrate it in the victory lane after a whole year’s worth of hard work and focus. But what is that feeling like for those involved directly?
Reflecting on his 2011 Cup championship, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver opened up on the way everyone in his team was feeling in the moment.
“It put me back to the first time we won with Stewart Haas Racing at Charlotte, the All-Star race, and watching grown men cry in the victory lane because it’s the first time they won a Cup race,” he said.
