Five Times Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo Showed They Are Best Friends 

Aldo and McGregor share one of the most intense build-ups. It all started in the year 2015 and since then the two have had a very friendly take on each other.

In 2015 after McGregor defeated Aldo via KO/TKO, the Irishman said to Aldo, "Look, we can go again". McGregor later expressed that even though it was a nice feeling to get the knockout but that he feels sorry for Aldo.

The ‘Mystic Mac’ once left a strange gift at Aldo's door during UFC 200. Aldo during UFC 283 said, “It was just light-hearted fun. We were in [a hotel] in Las Vegas, window-to-window. It was the night I beat Frankie Edgar.

He further added, “He just sent [a pair of red panties] out as a light-hearted joke. I didn’t do anything with it but maybe I could get my Mrs to wear it or something.”

After Aldo's fight against Pedro Munroz at UFC 265, McGregor Twitter to congratulate Aldo for his stunning unanimous victory. The Irishman tweeted, “Jose Aldo is a real legend."

McGregor Calls Aldo 'A Legend’

Aldo was once questioned about his relationship with the Irishman to which the Brazilian replied, “It’s a friendly relationship. I don’t have a problem with him trying to promote himself."

He further added. “If we take a look at it money-wise, it was pretty good. I think there should be more fighters like him at featherweight. I’m not his friend, though. He can go his way and I can go mine.”

Ahead of UFC 278, Conor McGregor dedicated a Twitter post to Jose Aldo appreciating him for his skills.
