“Didn’t Want to Die”: Bizarre Thoughts Struck Jackie Chan Relating to Bruce Lee’s Early Death Once

After the untimely death of Bruce Lee, Chan was left in awe, considering how he himself would face death. He desired to vanish one day or face his death proudly. What did he think in those desperate hours lost to these morbid thoughts? He describes in his book.

Chan was a stuntman in Lee's movie

Chan and Lee had fight scenes in The Big Boss where Lee mistakenly hurt Chan. Later Lee apologized and took Chan for bowling.

Chan thought Lee’s sudden death made him a legend, and that might have been his case too if he embraced death while filming

“If I’d jumped into the volcano during the filming of Chinese Zodiac, it would have been a beautiful exit. Fans all over the world would have wept for me, and everyone would be talking about how Jackie Chan sacrificed his life to cinema”, wrote the actor in his book.

But then comes the revelation

Chan penned, “I didn’t want to die. I don’t want to retire either. Sometimes I wonder if I should just vanish suddenly one day, just pack a bag and fly a plane to somewhere. That might be the way to do it.”
