30-Year-Old’s Remembrance Takes a Unique Turn as Mourning Friend Organizes Days-Long Marathon and Fundraiser

This story will convey a tale of friendship that transcends all barriers and emerges as an example for the world. As Andi Peel, the 30-year-old resilient soul, bid adieu to his earthly adobe, leaving his family and friends in a miserable condition, one of his mourning friends decided to organize an event as a remembrance of his endearing friend.

An enthusiastic soul’s tragic departure

Andi Peel beheld an indomitable zest for a living but encountered a shattering situation when he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor in January 2020. Despite his perseverance and willpower, he ultimately succumbed to the malignant tumour at the age of 30, leaving behind an irreplaceable void.

His family and friend was shattered

Peel's untimely death landed his close ones amidst an unfathomable anguish. While his mother, Linda Peel, was still struggling to cope with the unbearable pain, one of his friends, Josh Burniston, gave a unique shape to his remembrance.

Burniston spreads his helping hands

While remembering the enthusiastic soul, Burniston organizes a cycling tour expanding for 12 days. Apart from the 12 marathons in 12 days, there will be running, rowing and skiing to challenge the participants' abilities. The riding tour aims to raise around $3800, which he intends to donate to brain tumor research.
