‘I Want Ripped Abs’ – Venus Williams Is Laser Focused on Achieving Her 2023 Goal


As the year 2022 is winding up, everyone is either summing up the year with all they were grateful for, or they are busy setting up goals for the upcoming year. And same is the case with the American tennis legend Venus Williams. Recently, the 42-year-old opened up to fans on an Instagram “Ask away your Tennis ?’s” session, connecting and answering their curious queries in a fun-filled discourse. So when asked about her goals for 2023, what did the elder Williams sister has to say?


‘Abs’ and being ‘smart’ is on Venus Williams’ 2023 hit list.

Recently, during a Q&A on her business Instagram account EleVen by Venus Williams, when inquired by fans about her target for next year, Williams was very precise on what she wants to focus upon.


In answer to the query, “What are you hopeful for in 2023?’; the 7-time Grand Slam champion had an amusing reply.

“This sounds when, but I want ripped abs. I do! I do! and I think I pulled myself up with my abs routine recently. But I think I need to pull back,” she revealed.


Venus had more to add.

She further added “But, actually what I want in 2023 is to work as smart as possible and to really do things on a bigger scale and in a smarter way. That’s what I’ve been really thinking about in my own life. And there are a lot of other things too, but that sums it up with abs.”

Venus Williams put in a valiant effort upon her return to Cincinnati, but it wasn't enough to progress past the first round of the Western & Southern Open. Tennis fans expressed their disappointment at the American's loss on Twitter, with the majority advising her to retire along with her younger sister, Serena Williams.
