During the press conference at the French Open, Serena had to face some weird questions, particularly from one journalist. However, Serena gave a perfect response to the journalist, who received heavy criticism regarding his absurd statement.

Serena Williams once lashed out at a journalist at the French Open 2018.

The author of ‘Inside Tennis’, Bill Simons, interviewed Serena at the press conference of the French Open 2018. During the interview, the journalist implied that Serena wanted to get back to her baby Olympia.

What did Simons say to Serena?

Before asking any questions, he said to Serena, “We’re in this together, baby.“

How did Serena react to Simons' statement?

Then, Serena replied, “No, we’re not. You’re not going home to a screaming baby.“ Notably, many fans criticized the journalist for calling Serena ‘baby’ and many accused him of being a sexist.

Later, the journalist took to Twitter and issued an apology regarding his comments on Serena.

Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian took a dig at the journalist as well.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Waited 14 years… for this? Pro-top: wait at least another 14 more years before asking another question.”
