Replying to the accusations they were facing, the younger sister, Serena, said that she believes in sticking close to the family. Also, the then 18-year-old rising star clarified that they are cordial but prefer focusing on their game.

“The world is not perfect. Just stick close to yourself and be not too friendly. That’s why a lot of people have a problem with us because we’re not too friendly with anyone,” Serena said.“

I believe that Serena and I are very polite… because that’s the way our parents taught us,” Venus said.
