She has astonishing records in almost all categories and has brought her nation four gold Olympic medals. However, to become what she is today, Williams had to give up some moments that an average person cherishes the most. Williams never had a normal childhood, according to her. Williams, while in an interview in 2002, spoke about how she is still angry at her mother for making her stick to a schedule that made her feel envious of other kids.
What did Venus say about her mother Oracene?
She said, “most kids in their lunch boxes have little happy juices and stuff. We didn’t get juices, we got milk! It ruined my childhood, you know. All my friends got Captain Crunch cereal or Froot Loops, and we had to have Puff Wheat.”
Venus had more to add.
Thereafter, she chuckled and said, “So cruel! No Froot Loops! Of course, when I confront her, Mom makes excuses. She didn’t want us to have sugar because we were already all bouncing off the walls. But that’s no good to me now! The damage is done!”
