‘We Lost and We Cried…’- Serena Williams Detailed Her Emotional Reaction After Watching ‘King’ Richard for the First Time






American tennis star Serena Williams recently revealed her retirement plans. The 40-year-old will play out the current season and will finally hang her racket after the US Open. In her essay in Vogue magazine, the former world number one declared the same. In a recent video, Serena also did a round-up of her life events over the year. She also revisited the time when her father’s biopic ‘King Richard’ premiered.

Recalling the premiere of the film, Serena remembered how the film helped her rejoice and cherish the journey she underwent with her family to achieve what they have today.

















What did Williams say?

“We changed fashion, we changed tennis, and we hit big shots, and we won and we lost, and we cried and we laughed. And that was the accumulation of all these moments. And it was a wonderful moment,” she said. 














Williams bows out of the National Bank Open.


Serena was plying her trade in the National Bank Open, previously the Canadian Open, but she failed to go past Belinda Bencic in her second-round match, losing in straight sets, 6-2 6-4.














What's next for Serena?



The American will now take part in the Cincinnati Masters. It will be her last non-major tournament. The 40-year-old will take the court against the US Open defending champion Emma Raducanu.
