‘You Need to Stop Calling People Names…’ – When Martina Navratilova Destroyed a Twitter User Over Comments on Beyonce

Martina Navratilova has been one of the most vocal athletes on social media. In recent times, we have seen her engaging heavily on social media, particularly Twitter. Back in 2013, she had another exchange with a fan, which later turned into serious banter. Notably, Navratilova posted a tweet regarding Beyonce and one of her songs. Later, a fan called out the popstar, saying she was not a role model for young girls. Then, Navratilova also got herself engaged in this conversation.

Martina Navratilova hits back at a Twitter user for making hateful comments against Beyonce.

Notably, Navratilova shared an article where late American commentator Rush Limbaugh took a dig at Beyonce for some of the lyrics of her song, ‘Bow Down’; the title of the article was, ‘What the Beyoncé Farce Tells Us About Rush Limbaugh (Seriously)’

A Twitter user replies to Navratilova's Tweet.

Replying to Navratilova’s tweet, a Twitter user wrote, “Limbaugh is stupid and Beyonce is certainly NOT someone who should be a role model for young girls. No substance there.”

Navrtilova asked that person to explain why Beyonce was not a role model.

In reply, the Twitter user talked about the singer dancing half naked on the stage, which according to that person was not a good example for young kids.

The Twitter exchange carried on further.

The Twitter user, then further said, “portraying women as s** objects is demeaning to women.”In which, Navratilova replied, “being se*y does not mean you are portraying women as s** objects.”

The Twitter user calls Beyonce Slutty.

Navratilova calmly said, “B is not slu**y and you need to stop calling people names on this site, thanks.” Clearly, Navratilova had the last laugh in the Twitter banter.
