Davis Cup 2019

Davis Cup 2019

The Davis Cup 2019 is the 108th edition of the historic international tennis tournament where the elite men of tennis will represent their nation. For the 2019 edition, the format of the cup has been revamped. The Davis Cup finals will take place in Madrid in November 2019 – where 18 nations will take part in the finals, formerly known as World Group.

Davis Cup Format

The main modification is the World Group taking place at one location and in one week, with eighteen nations divided into six round-robin groups of three teams each, with the winners of the groups and the two best second places advancing to quarterfinals.

The match-up between these teams in this stage will feature two singles matches and one doubles match and instead of the best-of-5 sets, the matches will be decided in best-of-3 sets.

Davis Cup 2019 Schedule

The event will take place from 18th November 2019 and will conclude on 24th November 2019 and it is scheduled to take place in Caja Majica in Madrid, Spain. The tournament will be played on hard courts.
