Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada Biography

Kagiso Rabada is a fast bowler and plays for the South African team. He made his national debut in 2014 in T20 cricket before his test and ODI debut in 2015. His talent is so great that in 2018, he topped the ODI bowler and Test bowler rankings. Kagiso Rabada’s record of youngest bowler to take 150 wickets in Tests was also highly impressive as well.

In 2016, Rabada was the first cricketer to win six awards at South Africa’s annual dinner. This included Cricketer of the Year, a truly incredible honour. Two years later, he repeated the feat, winning Cricketer of the Year, Test Cricketer and ODI Cricketer of the Year among his laurels.

IPL Career

Kagiso Rabada’s IPL career kicked off in 2017 when he was bought for 50 million by the Delhi Daredevils. However, he only managed to play six matches. But, Kagiso Rabada’s bowling talent was still displayed in all its glory with 6 wickets.

Sadly, in 2018, he was forced to miss the IPL season owing to a back injury.

Kagiso Rabada is said to be one of the crucial players in the team ahead of the new season. He firmly believes that the Delhi franchise has the potential to not just compete but become one of the IPL’s powerhouses.

IPL 2019 Expectations

Now, Kagiso Rabada’s IPL 2019 campaign kicks off for Delhi once again. However, this year onwards, the team have been rechristened the Delhi Capitals.

Kagiso Rabada impressed in his early career when he played for the Highveld Lions. During a match, he actually bagged 9 for 33 during a single innings against the Hollywood Dolphins.

Delhi will be hoping that the 23-year old helps steer the team towards a successful IPL 2019 season.
