KL Rahul Biography
Kannaur Lokesh Rahul is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian team and the Kings XI Punjab.
Prior to his national call-up, he played for Bangalore Brigadiers (Urban), India Under-19s, India Under-23s, Karnataka, Karnataka State Cricket Association Colts XI, and South Zone.
In terms of IPL experience, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
KL Rahul made his IPL debut with the Royal Challengers in 2013. A year later, he joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad on a two-year stint. Following that, he was back with Bangalore for another two years before the Kings XI Punjab roped him in 2018.
KL Rahul boasts of a strike rate of 137.85 in his IPL career. He also has a high score of an unbeaten 95, set in 2018 during his Punjab stint.
Expectations for IPL 2019
KL Rahul was one of the stars of the 2018 edition and led KXIP from the front. He amassed 659 runs with six half-centuries under his belt. Teaming up with with Chris Gayle, KL Rahul took on the oppositions’ bowling. The 26-year old will be looking to build on that purple patch as he bids for the Orange Cap in 2019.
He is a formidable batsman and excels as an opener. The King XI Punjab are lucky to have such a talented player on their side. During his IPL career, KL Rahul broke the record for the fastest 50 in just 14 balls. the previous record was held by Sunil Narine who achieved it in 15 balls.
