Mujeeb Ur Rahman Biography
Mujeeb Ur Rahman is a bowler who hails from Afghanistan. He has played for Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Under-19s, the Bengal Tigers, Brisbane Heat, Comilla Victorians, Hampshire, Kabul Zalmi, Khost Province, Khost Province Under-17s, Mis Ainak Knights and Speen Ghar Region.
He broke into the ODI team first, in 2017 before his Test and T20 debut in 2018. Since then, the 18-year old has been on the rise and has been lethal for any opponent.
In the U-19 Asia Cup, Rahman was bestowed the honour of being the leading wicket-taker. He was then drafted into the U-19 Afghanistan team for the World Cup where he bagged his maiden ODI five-wicket haul. It was surely a sign of things to come and a public display of his talent.
In terms of his IPL career, he has played for Kings XI Punjab. He debuted for them in 2018 at the age of 17 and became the youngest debutant. He was drafted into the Punjab squad for a hefty sum of 4 crores.
During his debut season, Mujeeb Ur Rahman had the best figures of 3 for 27 with a total of 14 wickets and 6.99 economy.
