Robin Uthappa Biography
Robin Uthappa is an Indian cricketer and a veteran of the game. The 33-year old made his debut in the Indian cricket team back in 2006 for the ODI team. A year later, he made his T20 debut for India.
His match-winning 93-ball 100 against India A in 2006 earned him a nod among the big boys. Other laurels include being part of the India Under-19 team that won the Asia Cup.
Uthappa has been around in the IPL since its inception, starting his career with the Mumbai Indians. The Karnataka native has been very consistent for whichever IPL team he has played for.
Following one season with Mumbai, he moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore for 2009 and 2010. Then, from 2011 to 2013, he was with the now defunct Pune Warriors India. Finally, in 2014, he joined the Kolkata Knight Riders and has remained with them ever since.
With regard to high scores in the IPL, Robin Uthappa has never gone lower than 45 runs. Though he has ben just shy of a century on a few occasions, he does have 24 half centuries to his credit. His highest ever score in the IPL is 87 in 2017. Robin Uthappa has an average strike rate is 131.94 and his highest is 171.55 in 2010.

Robin Uthappa has amassed a total of 4312 runs in his IPL career. He has also been a highly consistent performer during his IPL tenure. His talent was such that he was even dubbed ‘The Walking Assassin’.
Though he has fallen out of favour of the national side, Robin Uthappa is still able to rack up high scores and bolster the side when needed. Without a doubt, Robin Uthappa will be a valuable asset for the 2-time IPL champions in their hunt for a third title.
