Taylor Fritz’s early life

Taylor Fritz is the son of former tennis players Kathy May and Guy Henry Fritz. While Kathy reached as high as number 10 in the world in 1977, Guy was named the professional development coach of the year in 2016. Taylor is also the great-great-grandson of David May, a renowned American businessman and founder of the May stores.

Fritz followed in the footsteps of his parents and started showing a keen interest in the sport at the age of 2. While growing up, Taylor idolized Pete Sampras and Juan Martin Del Potro. His game is a combo of Pete and Potro, as he has a strong serve from the baseline and a good net game as well.
