The event has a stacked main card that is billed with a 145-pound collision between former divisional champion Max Holloway and number six ranked Calvin Kattar. Although ‘Blessed’ is coming off a title bout defeat to Alexander Volaknovski, he’s very much in the mix to jump back into contention. Moreover, Calvin Kattar has established himself as the dark horse in the division with arguably one of the best stand-up skill sets on display.

The card also features another sneaky featherweight match-up between Nik Lentz and Mike Grundy that could very well steal the ‘Fight of the Night’ honors. The main card is opened out by Carlos Felipe and Justin Tafa who’re epitomize the ‘Stand and Bang’ fighting style. The co-main event of the Fight Night card sees a middleweight bout between Omari Akhmedov who’s keen to bounce back from a loss to Chris Weidman against Tom Breese

Canceled Bouts

The first bout cancellation of the year came in the form of a bantamweight bout between Brian Kelleher vs Ricky Simon. ‘Boom’ Kelleher tested positive for COVID-19 and was swiftly removed from the card. However, Kelleher came out and explained that he believed that the test was a false positive.
