Venus Williams 2021: Net Worth, Salary and Endorsements
One of the oldest players on the WTA track, Venus Williams has been serving the women’s tennis tour since 1994.
She and her sister, Serena Williams, picked up a tennis racquet under the tutelage of their father, Richard Williams in Compton, California.

Venus split with her longtime coach David Witt, under whom she had been training since 2007, in 2018. Currently, her coach is Eric Hechtman.

On-court Achievements
Venus’ major breakthrough came in the year 2000 when she pulled off the Wimbledon and US Open duo. Besides that, at Sydney Olympics, she won a Gold medal in singles as well as on the doubles track where she partnered with Serena.
Venus Williams reached four Majors' finals in 2002 and simultaneously turned World Number one for the first time during the French Open 2002. After losing to Serena at Wimbledon 2002, she lost her top ranking to her sister.
Before that, she failed to defend her title at Miami Open as she conceded a defeat to Serena. Although, Venus concluded the year as World Number two, due to her injuries she faced some tough losses in the following season.
Despite her injuries and slump in the rankings, Venus’ SW19 victories were not fazed.
On the singles tour, Venus Williams has amassed five Wimbledon titles and two US Open titles. She has reached the finals at all four Grand Slams.
In 2011, Venus was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome, which is an autoimmune disease and causes fatigue and muscle and joint pain. Consequently, for the first time in her career, she did not reach the quarterfinals of any of the Grand Slam tournaments and was ranked outside the top 100 rankings.
Venus has won fourteen Grand Slam alongside her sister, Serena on the doubles track and both of them are career slam champions in doubles tennis.
Venus even rose to the World Number One spot in doubles in 2010. She has bagged three Olympic Gold medals in the doubles category.
In 1998, she won Australian Open and French Open in the mixed doubles event. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won a silver medal in the mixed doubles category, which marked her comeback to the circuit.
In 2018, Venus Williams played her 1000th career match and picked up the 20th Fed Cup singles win. In 2012, Tennis Channel declared her to be the “100 greatest tennis players of all time”.

The last two seasons have been quite a struggle for the older Williams sister.
The 2020 season saw Williams win just a single match on the WTA Tour. Additionally, she suffered eight losses and dropped out of the top-70 in the rankings, and is currently at the 80th spot.
